Enki had be running for ages, still wobble from using his legs for the first time. Cut, bruised and naked Enki continued running not sure if he had been followed by the villagers or not. He didn’t know how long he had been running for but he knew that he couldn’t keep it up, eventually he collapsed. Puffing and panting Enki struggled to regain his breath, he looked down to see his legs, they were strange and different, so like a child Enki began to play with them, wriggling his toes, rubbing his legs, everything. “Humans are so weird” He thought to himself.
“Who would want legs, and why is one shorter then the other two?” Enki paused for a moment until he realized what that ‘third leg’ really was.
“Oh god, humans are really weird; I really hope I’m not stuck like this forever.” Enki’s generally happy face turned sad and depressive.
Whilst playing with his legs he investigated the state they were in, wiping of blood and dirty, and trying as hard as he could not to touch his bruises. Enki got up deciding that it was time for him to get going for he could hear the villagers, thinking he had his legs down pat he got up without any outside support and fell face first into the ground, stumbling to get on his feet again he saw a shinning figure of in the distance, so like curious cat he walked to it, he walked and walked for a great deal of time. Eventually Enki reached the coast of a beach, and their she was, the most beautiful girl Enki had ever seen, it even made him rethink his sexuality for a moment; she was the source of the light. Enki wanted to approach her, but was too shy so he hid behind a large rock.

Rayne stood on the edge of the cliff. The long, grey dress that she wore billowed out behind her. She looked like a force not to be reconed with. And indeed, no-one came near her. This was how she liked it. The cool sea-breeze, and the salty mist from the crashing waves hit her face, but she didn't mind.
Rayne was wondering what to do next. She didn't have very much to go with. "Find someone lost, but found. Help them find their ground." Rayne had a few ideas, but none that would be of much help. So she awaited their arival. Rayne had learnt that if you ignore your quest, them it will come running at you. And that was exactly what Rayne was hoping would happen.
Below her, on the beach, Rayne saw someone running. Her supurb eyesight told her almost everything she needed to know. He was young, even in human years. But not exactly human either, from the way he was running. It was as if he was still learning. And he was naked, covered in blood. He collapsed. Rayne stared at him. Was he the thing from her quest? Lost but found? Rayne wasn't sure, but there was not to see.
When the boy caught Rayne's stare, he blushed bright scarlett and disapeared behind a rock. Rayne laughed lightly before spreeding her wings and flying down to him. She looked at the rock for a second, trying to figure out a way to aproach him without scaring him. He was obviously at least midly scared of her, or he wouldn't have hidden.
"I shall not hurt you, if you do not hurt me." She annouced quietly to the rock. "Are you lost?"

The beautiful woman approached Enki and questioned him.
"I shall not hurt you, if you do not hurt me." She said.
"Are you lost?"
Enki rose shyly from the rock, her voice was soft and kind, it reminded him of the siren songs from his tribe, he began to weep, regretting the choices he had made. Enki opened his mouth to talk, but could muster any words. When Enki had built up the courage to finally movie away from the rock he did not realize that public nudity was so unnatural, but in his defense it wasn’t a bad site to see.
“M…m…My name is E…Enki, p…please help, I…I don’t belong here.” Enki stuttered, he didn’t like talking to strangers, and the fact that he wasn’t in water and had legs didn’t help.
“W…water, can y…you take me to the water?” Enki tried to walk, but his legs had collapsed from running for hours. On the beach covered in sand Enki tried to walk towards to the water once more, but due to the stress he blacked out.

After a moment or two, the boy rose from the rock, just enough for Rayne to see his bright eyes and brown hair. His eyes were rimmed with the red of freshly shead tears. Suddenly, he began to weep. He opened and closed his mouth a few times, and Rayne just stood their, pacient as ever. Finally, he shyed away from the rock.
“M…m…My name is E…Enki, p…please help, I…I don’t belong here.” The boy -- Enki -- stuttered. Rayne looked him up and down. The way he moved was very un-humaine. He did not belong. He was certainly lost. But was he found?“W…water, can y…you take me to the water?”
Water? He was a merman? Rayne watched as he stumbled forwards. In the same instant, Rayne caught him. She waved her hand and he was suspended in the air. She walked forwards and he moved too. Once she stood at the shoreline, she let him down gentally. Where the water and his body meet, there was a shimmer of magic in the air. Rayne pushed him deeper with her own magic so that his body was fully emerged in the water. Rayne floated upwards and sat crossed-legged in midair.
Rayne smiled as she watched the cuts and bruises on Enki's body heal themselves from the touch of the salty water. And then, as Rayne had suspected, Enki's legs changed into a magnificent tail.
"Do you need any help?" Rayne asked when she thought Enki was consious again. When he did not reply, Rayne went for a different angle. "Why did you run away?"
Enki did not need to tell Rayne that he had run away for her to know. It was obivious. It was more a question of why. Lost, but found... It had to mean away from home, but more at home. If Enki had left because of some sort of problem at home, or not fitting in, then it was him whom she needed to help 'find ground'.

AS Enki body began to transform he woke from his once comatose state, his body filled with a sudden burst of energy he hadn’t felt in awhile, but he like the feel of it. He looked down to see his tail again, glad to see it unchanged and that the woman could no longer see his other humanly “parts”.
“T…Thank you” He said, his voice not as shy and withdrawn as before.
“How can I repay you?” He waited for the mysterious woman to reply.
“W… What’s your name, I… I don’t believe you told me yet?
Enki smiled and went for a quick swim, the water was cold, he could see the woman stare as the water gleamed against his silky skin, his swim may have been short but it was enough to rejuvenate his exhausted and yet energetic body. He then returned to the beautiful lady shortly after still waiting in anticipation for her to answer his many questions.

“T…Thank you” The boy said. “How can I repay you? W… What’s your name, I… I don’t believe you told me yet?
Before Rayne could respond, the boy swam away. Rayne frowned, why was he leaving? He has just asked how he could repay her! And then he was back.
"I am Rayne." She responded quietly. "And I believe that you are who I am looking for, so the question be not 'How can I repay you?' but 'How can I help you.' Rayne paused, not because she was thinking, but for effect. There was power in her voice, the power of her thousands of years upon this land. She shifted into a more comfortable position before she continued. "And the answer to that question, is a followed by another question." Rayne reached a hand out and lightly gripped Enki's face. She bought his face close to hers, almost as if she were to kiss him. But she didn't, she just whispered ever so softly. "Why are you running away?"
